My 6th Form Prom!

Hello My Wonderful Followers,

This week I said that there was a special blog so here it its my 6th Form Prom! I thought I would talk you through my hair, make up, outfits and pictures of my prom!

My Hair and Make-up

I had my hair done at the hair dressers and she added in a curl to my hair and had a Buffont in my hair too! All In all I had over 30 grips in my hair and it took the hair dresser ages to try on hide them! I'm not that good with hair so doing anything my self would of caused a lot of stress and I'm happy how it turned out! For my make up I used my Benefit Porefessional Primer, No.7 Stay Perfect Foundation, Benefit eye shadows, Benefit's They're real mascara, No.7 Bronze eye liner, Rimmel's Eyebrow pencil, Rimmel's Stay Matt Powder, Beni-tint for cheek's and lips, Benefits Dandelion Blusher, Sleek's Highlighter and Bronzer and a Barry M lip gloss too top it off!
I also had my nails done in a CND Shellac, in cocoa with is shimmer on top with left me with a lovely nude colour!

My Outfit
Along with my floor length blue one shoulder dress which I got from amazon, I wore these sparkly silver heels from next! I also wore, well most held this lace mask (as it was a masquerade ball) which I got from a local fancy dress shop and added the silver sequins my self. I them also took this large black bag from H&M with a small pink purse to hold my ID and money.I also took along my new camera with is the Cannon Ixus 155 which all of these photos were taken on. I love it!

The Venue

It took a lot of hard work from a small group of us to turn the venue, which as a mess when we got there into a prom worthy room! The table decorations were vases filled with crystal like stones from Ikea with silver masks which my sister and I hand made and our friend attached feathers too! We them covered the tables in sprinkles and it turned out like this!

Photos and the Rest of the Night!

The rest of my night was amazing! We had lots of photos taken some you can see below! We had some food and then danced the whole night long! Our DJ was amazing as it was a friends sister's partners who works as a club DJ so the music was amazing!

I hope you enjoyed hearing a bit about my prom and what I wore! I had an amazing night and was the perfect way to end 2 years hard work at 6th form! If any of you have had a prom or have one coming up that you will or have had as much of an amazing time as I did at mine!

Yummy Chocolate Cake in a Mug

Hello my wonderful followers!

As you may know from either my blog or my sister Emily's blog we both love baking and eating cake quite a lot! However with my revision being the biggest part of my life at the moment baking has not been going on in our house which is very sad. However we stumbled along this recipe which is perfect for busy time or those who just don't enjoy baking but enjoy eating cake!

So here it is a scrummy chocolate cake in a mug baked in 2 1/2 mins!

What you will need:

2 tbsp Self Raising Flour
2 tbsp Caster Sugar
1 tbsp Cocoa Powder
1 Small Egg
1 tbsp Milk
1 tbsp Sunflower Oil
A few Chocolate Drop/Pieces
A Mug of your choice
A spoon/fork to mix

A few optional extras:
Sprinkle of Icing Sugar
1 Strawberry
A squirt of whipped Cream

This maybe the easiest cake you have ever made in your whole life! So lets make this thing!

How to make your cake:

1) Place all dry ingredients in a mug and mix together
2) Add in egg and wish with a fork
3) Pour in the milk and oil and stir again
4) Place in microwave for 2 1/2 mins on full power
5) Leave to rest for roughly a minuet
6) Add any extra like a sprinkle of icing sugar or a scoop of ice cream.
As it is summer and will soon be Wimbledon! Yay! I added a strawberry and a squirt of       whipped cream!
7) Dig in and enjoy you cake! Yum!

I hope you really enjoy this recipie! If you want to see more baking post comment below and maybe even suggest some post you would like to see from me! Also be sure to come and follow my Bloglovin Page and like my blog's Facebook Page! See you next week!

Sleek's Face Form Pallet

Hey wonderful followers,

Today I have a beauty blog for you. This is a recent purchase after seeing Louise form Sprinkle Of Glitter picked it up in one of her drugstore hauls!

So there is the pallet as you can see, ohh and a little sneaky peak of my real techniques contour brush as well! So the pallet come with 3 separate products, a contour/bronzer colour, a highlighter and a blush! Oh and this gorgeous big mirror! I love pallets wit mirrors as if I'm travelling it saves me taking a separate mirror!

So I will start with the bronzer, this is a completely matte bronze colour which is very good for contouring! Although as it is very matte I feel using it as a bronzer you can get a very muddy look unless you do it very lightly so I would suggest if you have light skin like me to you a different bronzer maybe with a little shimmer to and a more bronze tome to your face.

Next is the highlighter! This is probably my favorite in the pallet! As it is so pretty as you will see on the swatch below, it is very shiny but if you wanted it to be more matte you can cover it in you face powder will should reduce its shininess. But what I really love it for is that you can not only use it as a highlighter it makes a great eye shadow too! It come out as a really pretty champagne colour which I love on eyes in the summer.

Finally the blush colour! This is what I would describe as a bright pink with a hint of rose gold shimmer. It looks very pretty on however I was disappointed about how hard it seems to be to apply evenly! Maybe I just need more practice! However saying that I haven't been wearing a full face of foundation or BB Cream and no primer this week so maybe that would be the problem! Saying that once you have managed to apply it properly it does give a very fun pink girly look! Perfect for the summer!

I hope you've enjoyed reading this more beauty aimed post! Body Image and Other Pressures!

So lately over the past few months or so I've noticed how people judge others for how they look and this has been really prominent in my life! From hearing guys who I thought where not judgmental at all and usually very kind talk about other boys who I very close to calling them chubby or making fun of how they are, if they are small or tall or muscle or very slim. To watching videos on YouTube about how a girl should be for a guy to find them attractive. Its really shocked me!

If you didn't know teen star Tyger Drew-Honey, who played Jake from out numbered and is only a few days younger than myself has started a new series on the BBC. In "Tyger Drew Honey takes on..." Tyger well takes on different topics from the aspect of an 18 yr old boy trying to become a man. So far I've watched the first one where he looks at the affect of porn has had in our generation and also male body image.

Watching all off this has really made me think about the pressures placed on both sexes from about 13 and even younger for some. I cant remember the last time I looked in the mirror and felt I was allowed to say I think I looked fine, its just not done is it?  From buying first bra, going to secondary school, my first kiss, to getting my first proper boyfriend, and turning 18 and dressing to going out I feel I've had a lot of confidence changes over time; some low and some high. All the time I thought it was just girls who had to worry if they were pretty, wearing right make up, if there boobs were big enough, if their legs smooth enough, dress short enough to look attractive but not slutty...

But its not! With the rise of male stars all looking gorgeous, porn being very available making boys feel that's what they should be doing,  the male make up industry increasing and the rise of attractive young men found on vines and YouTube the pressure is piled on men to. They feel like they should be slim, have a  6 pack, good abs, sleeping with girls, drinking, smoking, wearing designer clothes, but its just as unrealistic as the expectations on girls!

I'm not sure what my rant was leading too, I thought a would just share with you my thoughts for the week and leave you with a few more encouraging and happy ones.

This is for all males and females old and young! I don't care if you have to buy XXXL clothing or XXS, if your tall or short, super brainy or not so smart, a gym bunny or a coach potato. What I want you to do over the next week is write a list, not a long one of things you like about your self! It doesn't have to be looks (but one about appearance would be good)! But it could be a range of things and stick it next to your mirror and read it in the morning before you leave the house just to remind you that your great and you love parts of yourself even if it feels like other people don't !

Here's mine:

Another great idea of doing a list about some one else so they can feel loved too! So here's one I did for my Boyfriend:
